The future of the surveillance industry is an interesting one. Probably the demise of the VMS as we know it with video server itself disappearing, with everything going into cameras and storage systems.

What is going to become more important are cameras that contain third party applications and storage boxes that are capable of high capacity and run efficiently.

Also front ends such as icomply front end, for example, can act as an integration system and provide the operators interfaces. That’s where we see the surveillance industry going.
