In the past year or so there has been a growth in the domestic HDTV market which has been driven by the move from CRT based TVs to LCD Plasma Screens. This technology  is now being adopted in the CCTV surveillance industry.

Why is HD CCTV Being Adopted?

HDTV provides 5x more resolution than standard TV screens and improved colour representation. Which means that images are clearer, even if they are moving fast, which makes it an appealing solution for CCTV surveillance where fine detail of images is important.
